Editing Style

Once your story is developmentally sound, a line-by-line review helps ensure it is the best it can be stylistically from beginning to end. The language of your story is fine-tuned to ensure a compelling, smooth, and smartly worded manuscript with a clear and consistent representation of your voice, tone, and style.  

Microsoft Word's Track changes feature is used to provide feedback in adherence to The Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. Detailed comments and suggestions are made throughout, while style issues are corrected in the body of the manuscript. The amount of feedback is dependent on the condition of the writing itself. 

The line edit works with each sentence and paragraph to take your writing to an artful level!

I'll review line by line to identify:

• cumbersome or unclear writing
• sentence length and variety
• wordiness or redundancies
• verb tense inconsistencies
• clichés or ineffective words
• paragraph flow and transitions
• point of view shifts
• unaddressed developmental issues
• grammar, punctuation, and spelling issues

Timeline: 3-5 weeks 

Fee based on word count, with a minimum of $400 per project.
